K11 MUSEA’s “METAVISION” exhibition, launched on April 29, 2022, marked Hong Kong’s most ambitious NFT art showcase, democratizing the metaverse for diverse audiences across nine floors. Curated in partnership with HSBC and Visa, this groundbreaking display featured over 200 digital artworks from more than 30 global artists and projects—spanning emerging talents as young as eight to icons like Tom Sachs and Takashi Murakami—collectively valued at around 26,000 ETH (US$71 million at the time). Highlights included immersive installations from Bored Ape Yacht Club, Azuki, RTFKT’s CLONE X, CryptoPunks, and Mutant Ape Yacht Club, alongside HSBC’s own pieces like “The Art of Progress” and “Threads of Life” at the transformed K11 Gold Ball.

Complementing the visuals, “METAVISION” offered educational depth through guided tours with crypto wallet tutorials, artist talks with Arthus Ng, Felix Ip, and The French Girl, online workshops via K11 Kulture Academy on minting NFTs and accessing The Sandbox metaverse, and the multi-sensory “Meta Odyssey” pop-up with AR, live lighting, and music across four May weekends. Running until June 19, the exhibition bridged physical and digital realms, fostering an inclusive ecosystem for NFT culture and inspiring over 100,000 participants in K11’s 2022 cultural programs.
Working closely with the client, we refined a design language that is adaptable yet precise. Typography, color, and layout were developed to reflect both the practical and expressive qualities of the brand. Each element was tested across different formats to ensure consistency, from social platforms to editorial applications. The result is a system that communicates clearly while maintaining a distinct and recognizable character.
